Koronadal City is one of the gems that make up South Cotabato as the treasure of the South. It is one of the fastest-growing cities in the Philippines and is making a name across the country. One of the things that you don’t want to miss out on when visiting Koronadal City is the gastronomic adventure the city provides.
Koronadal City houses one of the best garden resorts in the province which is The Farm at Carpenter Hill. It is a culmination of Zen, beauty, and elegance in the Land of the Dreamweavers. The Farm at Carpenter Hill offers world-class amenities with its beautiful Japanese Villas, hotel rooms, elegant pool, event halls, and of course its top-notch restaurants. The venue offers in-house restaurants namely Aviary Bar and Cafe, The Farm Steakhouse, Gecko Bar, and Koi Bar.
Do not miss the chance to visit and check out The Farm’s Aviary Bar and Cafe. The restaurant offers Asian and Filipino cuisines. It’s one of the restaurants in Koronadal City that provides a beautiful ambiance similar to fine dining restaurants but at a price that is generally accessible to the public.

Food Review
The restaurant has a wide variety of dishes and mostly has a portion size good for sharing. It has noodles, vegetables, pork, chicken, fish, and beef and also offers a wide variety of desserts. The restaurant offers cocktails, beer, wine, and coffee. The food rating is averaged from 5 individual scores.

To start with, we tried their camote fries as our appetizer. There’s nothing special about it as to the flavors. However, it has a very nice crisp and is not oily at all. The dip was okay and sweet with a distinguishing flavor of condensed milk. We rate it a 7.8.

Another appetizer we didn’t want to miss out on is their special Sinuglawang the Farm for P535. The serving size can be shared between two or three people as a proper meal but is enough for us. It is one of the best dishes on our order. The vegetables were fresh, with a nice balance of spices, a tasty vinegar mix, and a great amount of fish and pork. If only the sinugba was a little charred and had some crispiness in it. An 8.8.

For our greens, we ordered one of the most beautiful presentations of Laing I’ve ever seen. Their Laing with Pork is priced at P475. At its price, it has a generous serving topped with four strips of crispy pork. Their laing has great taste, and a nice balance of coconut milk but lacks chili and salt. It’s well seasoned but since it lacked saltiness, it felt underwhelming. It would have garnered a higher score if it wasn’t bland. Rating of 7.8.

We ordered their Adobo Rice at P285 and is honestly a good amount of rice for a group of five to six people. Their adobo rice is forgettable. It was a little bland for an adobo rice and a little pale. It was still good enough to satiate us. An overall rating of 7.6.

For our protein, we ordered their Battered Chicken at P345. This is their regular size which is good for 2-3 people. Honestly, I am amazed that the chicken size is huge and not at all just batter. It’s really delicious and very flavorful. We give it a well-deserved 8.4.

Another main course is the Bagnet Karekare at P710. It was one of the most intriguing dishes on the menu as bagnet is a Vigan specialty. However, it was really underwhelming. The pork was really generous. Great crispiness. However, the dish was bland and the Karekare didn’t have a very strong nutty flavor. The overall rating, however, is a 7.2.

Restaurant Rating
Food:
Delicious but nothing really special.
Value for money:
A little bit pricy but really generous serving. The food is okay as well.
Location:
The ambiance is really nice. A mix of style with a touch of nature. They incorporate Koronadal’s beauty in the design. My only gripe is that there were flies when we dined despite it being indoors and airconditioned.
Service:
Would be nice if they provided those candles that ward off flies. Attentive waiters.
Variety:
Wide selection but nothing really worth noting except for a few unique items like their KBL, bagnet karekare to name a few.
