Coca Cola Philippines has always been a huge part of every Filipino households’ celebration. Festivities are never complete without a glass of ice-cold Coke. It has become a staple in every celebration.

As part of Kadayawan 2026, Coca Cola PH hosted Davao Media Kamustahan at Ta-COW last August 12, 2026 to gather media partners in an afternoon full of fun activities, engaging conversations, making connections, eating scrumptious food, and celebrating each other’s company in the true spirit of Kadayawan.

The intimate gathering also highlighted a brief history of Coca Cola Philippines allowing attendees to learn that Coca Cola Philippines has been serving Filipino families with refreshing drinks and work opportunities for 114 years.

They also shared their environmental and sustainability initiatives introducing their recycling facility – PETValue Philippines Corporation. PET bottles are collected and undergo an 8-step process to become newly food-grade recycled PET bottles through this facility.

They also launched their program called TAPON TO IPON where you follow a simple method called ‘Drink-crush-recycle’. This program is aimed to accelerate recovery and recycling PET plastic bottles of any brands. This program is also brought closer to Davaoeños.

From August 14-16 at Rizal Park, San Pedro Square, a designated drop-off point will be set so people can drop their plastic bottles and exchange these PET bottles to win Coca-Cola Products.

Plastic bottles that can be exchanged are:

• PET-classified Beverage Bottles (of any brands). Ensure it has the recycling logo.
• It must be clean.
• It must be clear or colorless. Eg. if it is green-colored bottle, then not allowed.
• It must be dry and without any liquid inside.

The celebration also ended with everyone receiving Coca Cola tote bags full of goodies, some raffle prizes, and of course, good memories and renewed connection. The event ended on a high note with everyone inspired to celebrate the upcoming activities of Kadayawan with Coca Cola serving a reminder of our environmental responsibility.
